We lost Kevin O’Boyle on July 4, 2020.\u00a0 Kevin was always positive, always well prepared, and a very talented play-by-play broadcaster, and covered numerous football, basketball, and baseball games on Oldies 97.3.\u00a0 He also hosted several seasons of our former football coaches show with then-Wayne head football coach, Jay Minton.<\/p>\n

His unexpected passing came as a shock to all of us at the Oldies 97.3 sports team.\u00a0 Kevin had recently returned to the team at Oldies 97.3 after several years of broadcasting high school sports coverage in Miami County.\u00a0 He was behind the microphone to broadcast what (as of this writing) was the final Wayne High School sporting event covered on Oldies 97.3, the final Wayne basketball game of the 2019-2020 season in February of 2020.<\/p>\n

We’ll miss you, “El Magnifico”!<\/p>\n
